
Today was an extra session, just knocking off the soreness from yesterday. I continue to push the loading. Everything feels jusf fine, aside from a little bit of hip soreness and wonky form. I need to focus a bit more on warming up thoroughly, and on making time for my jump training. I always feel faster and more explosive if I jump first. Also, not pushing the deadlift is saving my lower back.
Here's todays work.
1. Free squat with texas bar
Worked up and did 5 doubles with 435. Weight felt just fine. I would like to be faster right out of the bottom. Part of that is feeling the squats from yesterday.
2. Feel Good Pump of the Summer
A. Lat pulldowns and pushups, 3*15
B. Curl and pushdowns from overhead, 3*10
I'm putting my focus on tuesday, now. Another round with the safety squat bar. Hoping to hit 565 or so...A big lift for me. No training tomorrow. Taking some time to prep for Max.
